The Murrah ten
Murrah buffaloes are the pride of Indian dairy, and their rich, creamy milk is the taste Andhra households grew up on. This is the milk of our grandmothers' kitchens.
We are one family with ten Murrah buffaloes and two A2 Kankrej cows, living free on four acres of our own land at Kothavalasa, 25 km from Vizag. Every morning we test the milk, then bring it to your door the same day, still cold. No shortcuts, nothing hidden. Just milk.
Our Story
We looked all over Vizag for milk our own family could fully trust. We could not find it. So we decided to make it ourselves.
It began with a worry many families share: what is really in the packet? Milk used to come from an animal you knew, milked by a person you knew. Somewhere along the way it became a factory product, and the knowing was lost.
We are not a company that discovered a market. We are a family that wanted clean, unadulterated milk for its own children, built a small farm to produce it the right way, and now shares it with families who want the same thing.
"Every claim we make, we can show. Every morning, we prove it again."
Our Farm
Our farm sits about 25 km outside Visakhapatnam, on land our family owns and works. Green fodder grows in the fields, the sheds are washed down before sunrise, and the animals wander where they please. At dawn you can hear the farm wake up: birds, the herd stirring, milk cans being rinsed.
The city is close enough that your milk reaches you the same morning. The farm is far enough that it is genuinely rural. This is where every bottle begins.
Meet the Herd
Murrah buffaloes are the pride of Indian dairy, and their rich, creamy milk is the taste Andhra households grew up on. This is the milk of our grandmothers' kitchens.
Our two A2 Kankrej cows are a rare, hardy indigenous breed from Gujarat, silver-grey with beautiful curved horns. Original desi animals giving prized A2 milk, not crossbreds pushed to their limits.
The herd lives loose in open paddocks, with a mud wallow where the buffaloes cool off in the heat. They live the way animals should. Happy animals give honest milk.
What They Eat
The green fodder our animals eat grows in our own fields, without pesticides. We cut and store silage for the dry months. The dhana, the feed mix, is milled and mixed right here on the farm to our own recipe, so we know exactly what goes into it.
When an animal eats clean, the milk is clean. It is that simple.
How We Care
A veterinarian visits the farm regularly and is a phone call away in an emergency. The animals are healthy, vaccinated, and looked after with the same care we give our own household. And we hold three promises we will never bend.
We never inject anything to force more milk. Oxytocin, the shortcut some dairies use, is banned, and we do not touch it.
If an animal is ever unwell and treated, her milk stays out of the supply completely until she is fully recovered and her milk tests clear.
Nothing added, nothing removed, nothing hidden. What the animal gives, tested and chilled, is what you pour.
Tested Every Morning
Every single morning, before a drop leaves the farm, we test the milk: for fat, for purity, for adulteration, for any trace of medicine. Then we share the results with the families who drink it, every day.
"You never take our word for it. You see the proof each morning."
Our Milk
Both are chilled the moment they are milked and reach your door the same morning. Nothing sits in a warehouse.
Farm to Your Door
The milk is chilled immediately after milking and carried into the city in our own electric delivery vehicle. Quiet, clean, no diesel fumes, in keeping with everything else we believe.
It reaches your doorstep in the morning in returnable glass bottles or pouches. You choose your morning slot, and we keep the promise.
Part of Something Rooted
This farm is one branch of Rythuvanam, a family of ventures rooted in the same idea: food you can trust, made honestly, close to home, treating the land, the animals, and the farmer right. The milk carries all of it in a single glass bottle.
