The Oo Batasari courtyard at golden hour: a tiled-roof manduva veranda with low banana-leaf tables, cane chairs, and clay lamps glowing into the dusk
The Consumer Heart of Rythuvanam

A table that calls you to pause, and return.

Oo Batasari is the face of Rythuvanam that the city meets first, a farm-to-table kitchen in Vizag where every dish is traceable to a named farmer and cooked the way it was cooked generations ago. Not fast food dressed in nostalgia. Real food, grown honestly, served on a leaf.

The Meaning of the Name

In Telugu, it's a gentle invitation.

"Oo Batasari" is a soft call to the wanderer: come, sit, eat, and remember where you came from.

It is the warmth of an ammamma's kitchen offered to a city that has forgotten the taste of its own soil. In a world of food that rushes, Oo Batasari is built to slow you down, to make you put the phone away, eat with your hands, and taste the difference that honest farming makes.

Every wanderer is welcome at this table. That is the whole idea: not a restaurant you visit once, but a table you return to.

"Not a restaurant you visit. A table you return to."

What's on the Leaf

Cooked the old way. Sourced the honest way.

Our menu is South Indian home cooking in its truest form: tiffins and full meals made only from naturally farmed, indigenously sourced produce. No artificial additives. No refined oils. No chemical preservatives. Cold-pressed sesame, coconut, and groundnut oils only. Every grain, every vegetable, every spice traces back to a farmer we know by name.

Traceable to a name

Every dish on the leaf can be traced to a named farmer, FPO, or cooperative across five Andhra districts. You don't just eat the food. You know whose hands grew it.

Cooked on biomass

Prepared on corn-briquette stoves, not LPG, with condensation-based smoke filtration. The taste of slow fire, with none of the effluent.

Served on a leaf

Banana leaf and compostable ware, zero single-use plastic. The way a meal was always meant to be served, and returned to the earth.

The Bhojanam

A festive Andhra bhojanam, every day.

A full traditional meal, laid out on a fresh banana leaf, abundant, balanced, and rooted in the seasons. The menu turns with the farmers' weekly harvest, but the heart of the leaf stays constant.

The menu changes with the season and the farmers' harvest. Some dishes are served on select days.

More Than a Meal

Eat where the city meets the soil.

Oo Batasari sits inside a Godavari manduva-style courtyard: laterite walls, clay-tile roof, open sky, and the warm air of Vizag. Traditional floor seating, low tables, and cane chairs. Brass lamps and clay diyas at dusk. No neon, no rush, no noise.

It is a place designed for the pause: for families on a weekend, for the morning walker after a long walk, for the wanderer who wants one honest meal in a city that moves too fast.

Part of Something Rooted

Every meal feeds a farmer.

When you eat at Oo Batasari, the value doesn't stop at the table. Our produce is bought directly from 20–40 smallholder farmers, at rates above the market, settled weekly, with profit shared after break-even. No middlemen. No exploitation. Just a fair price for the people who grow your food. This is the Rythuvanam principle made edible: pay the farmer first, and fairly, before anything else moves.
